What Is the Course About?
This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of Terri O’Fallon’s STAGES model of human development. Built on decades of published research, the STAGES model describes how someone is likely to think, feel, and behave in various stages of psycho-spiritual or ego maturity.
The STAGES Model is designed to help you understand each life stage, how and why you go through it, how to support healthy development in all levels of the self, and the importance of cleaning up shadow material in earlier levels of the psyche.
The model contains 12 distinct stages within 6 different person-perspectives - from the 1st person perspective of a toddler to the 3rd person perspective of an engineer to the 6th person perspective of the most advanced ego stage discovered by researchers. The perspectives arise through three distinct tiers: Concrete, Subtle, and Metaware. The model is unique in how it shows a repeating pattern of growth and challenges that happens with each of the three tiers.
This introductory course will cover the first eight stages of the model, the most predominant perspectives held by humanity in our times.
Topics covered will include:
- The three parameters used to assess development.
- The Concrete, Subtle and Metaware Tiers.
- Confusions that need to be resolved at each stage in order to move to the next one.
- How states of consciousness cycle together with stages to transform our perspective as we mature.
- Shadow and its relationship to the stages.
Each session will cover two stages, as follows:
- Session 1: Stages 1.0Â & 1.5
- Session 2: Stages 2.0Â & 2.5
- Session 3: Stages 3.0Â & 3.5
- Session 4: Stages 4.0Â & 4.5
Individual sessions will include a presentation of the stages, experiential exercises to help us access that stage within ourselves, and time for questions and discussion.
Who’s the course for?Â
The course is designed for those interested in self-reflection, self-development, self-awareness, and self-empowerment—all of which can lead to a more satisfying, productive, and connected life.
This introductory course is open toÂ
- Newcomers to the STAGES modelÂ
- Practitioners (coaches, therapists, teachers, leaders) seeking new tools to support othersÂ
- Anyone who wants to better understand their developmental stages and “who they are” developmentally at this moment
What’s the program?
